got a special guest to fill Alliance welcome Character Corner Awards assembly my name is Eve my name is Ruby in Spanish today at this time I would like to call upon our principal mr. Larkin to say a few words good morning love how are you doing out there a very important and special assembly because it's the third quarter family which is right before as a testing and we're going to be talking to all the students after our work something about sbhse I don't want to address this far the awesome family members and supporters of Arcadia that are out there supporting you everyday that is all of you in the back thank you for stock for coming and supporting our case I can't tell you how much that means to all of us and all of them and helping them understand the importance of their education their learning and their future one of the big things is coming up the that help support them in their future is the SBA testing the Statewide testing that starts in just over a week are 5th graders and then the week after that for a third and fourth graders as well and they need a couple of things from you to support them in this and it's real simple first they need a good night's sleep 9 is the latest story in this room for the next like month everybody in bed by 9 what time you go to bed 93 good answer I know you didn't want to answer I was looking at one kid I know stays up till like 11 or 9 sorry guys do video games after 9 number to a great breakfast give them breakfast everyday if the if you can't beat them there send them here to get breakfast and Lassie your love and support encouragement tell them to work hard. best one thing at you as parents should know this everybody gets the same percentage on these tests everybody gets 50% it's just a matter what level you get like a video game level and that's what we're looking for because those scores. translate later on in middle school and high school in two different classes that they can take such as honors classes advanced classes so they do need to be working on them now because our Middle School does look at those grades when they go up there to determine what class they might get into they really do need to put in some effort and most importantly don't give up even if they don't get to they can learn more next for next year and get an even higher score and get into the the better classes in high school start this show thank you mr.
