where the sun shines bright Drive High with pride in the Morning Light we are the pride of party with heart so true learning every day and all that under the Banyan Tree friendship strong and kind teachers by your side helping us to find we are the priority with hearts so true learning every day in all that we do listen after ringing through our schools so why each dream we are bringing striving high with pride we are the pride of calling so true learning every day in all that we do books and laughter ringing through our schools so why each dream we are bringing striving high with pride we are the pride of calling he with heart so true learning every day and all that we do we all the priority good morning you are the lines I'm Zur and I'm Aubrey thank you for joining us on this awesome morning as we bring you your morning broadcast pass we are the priority good morning Lions we have a very busy week ahead of us so let's move on to our announcements I'm Josiah and I'm Vicky analia I would like to start this segment off with 1 announcement for the teachers this week is yard Duty for teachers and group a Monday grade free has Ira from 8:45 to 11:00 and grade K has Ira from 11:45 to 1:45 Tuesday grade 4 has Ira from 8:45 to 11:00 and grade 1 has Ira from 11:45 to 1:45 kindergarten has a field trip to the zoo from 10:00 to 12:30 on Wednesday Wednesday due 5 has whole ULU AA from 8:30 to 11:30 Thursday grade 5 has Ira from 8:45 to 11:00 and grade 2 has Ira from 11:45 to 1:45 and there's a parent Workshop from 8:00 talk to 9:00 on Friday there is no school it's teacher Institute day well it looks like we have a lot going on for this week so let's all remember to strive higher with pride because that's the line way now we'll be moving on to our next segment Lions we are the flyer party good morning Lions I'm Zachary I'm Danica for breakfast this week Tuesday bagel with cream cheese Wednesday breakfast chicken patty with Thursday breakfast pizza and on Friday no school for lunch this week today cheese bites Tuesday mini turkey corn dogs Wednesday barbecue pork sandwich Thursday breaded chicken tenders Friday no school I hope you are are hungry because it looks like we have some good food for this week now let's move on to our next segment Aloha lions we are the Aloha clients I'm Athena I'm so happy to bring you your hola or your Hawaiian word of the week our word for this week is Malu according to the Hawaiian language dictionary Malu means calm or shade so as we reflect on our peaceful moments or enjoy the shade you can all you can always think of Malu always remember we are we are the Lions we are the future Aloha lions we are Aloha Lions Welcome to our vocab ability word of the week I'm zyler today's word is contrast contrast means to look at 2 things and see how they are different let's use it in a sentence I can contrast the 2 to see which is which 1 is bigger contrast is a verb this means that it is an action word you can do something when you contrast contrast comes from the prefix contra which means again and the suffix which means to stand or position so it means to place things against each other to see how they are different here are 2 words from the word family contrastive this is an adjective that means showing differences contrasting this is a verb that means actively showing differences I hope you enjoyed learning the vocabulary vocabulary you know what of the week see you next time now let's move on to our next segment Aloha lions we are Aloha Lions we are excited to announce the khi why in the planner cover contest calling all artists kindergarten through grade 5 submit your artwork for a chance to have your design featured on next year's planners cover for its next school year 2025 to 2026 we encourage designs that are colorful and celebrate our Kiwana community and choose love remember the 4 pillars courage gratitude forgiveness and compassion if you need a 8 and a half by 11 paper please see Mrs Shu you may use markers crayons colored pencils or paint showcase your creativity and be a part of something special here are the requirements artwork must be original and school appropriate I work must be submitted on a standard 8 and a half by 11 paper write your first and last name and your home room on the back of your submission awesome missions are due by Friday March 7th 2025 at the office for more information see Mrs hiler or Mrs chew we can't wait to see your designs Aloha lions we are a priority good morning Lions I'm Ariel and I'm Ella on behalf of us at here at kws news I'd like to thank you all for joining us this morning remember to always strive higher at Pride because that's the line weigh come to school every day work hard and always try your best most important of all have fun at school and always remember that Aloha always win signing off for all of us here at kwes news we hope you have an amazing week Aloha lions
