Quarter 3: Update Talking Points 2/13/24

Aloha Lions Ohana,

As you can see, construction on Gulick Bridge has started. The state did not give us clear information about what was going to happen and, because of that, we have to make a quick change to how we drop off/pick up.

Starting tomorrow I am shutting down the cafeteria area drop off/pick up zone and moving it to Gulick Ave., mauka (mountain) side of the office parking lot. Staff will begin to man that area from 7:30-8:00 for drop off and from 2:15-2:40 for pick up.

We ask that all drivers approach from School St. and continue on towards King St.

TEXT 2
Kindergarten students will be sent to their class or the cafe, after being dropped off. If they came before 7:30 for breakfast, they will be sent to their class after finishing breakfast.

Pickup students will be brought to the sidewalk area for pickup after school. Please note that this will cause significant traffic in the afternoon, so if you don't need to pick up your child, please have them walk home.

We don't know how long the roadwork will last, but, due to the ongoing concern with heavy equipment in the parking lot area this shift to Gulick Ave. will continue.

Aloha.
