Aloha Lions Ohana,
I hope you are all having a great week and are enjoying 2023 so far. I have just a few reminders today.
- Tomorrow is our awards assembly. Grades PreK-2 are from 8:15-9:00 and Grades 3-5 are from 9:00-9:45 in the cafeteria.
- Friday there is no school.
- Volleyball practice is starting back up this Thursday. We had to change coaches as Coach Kaeo is joining the military and has new requirements after school. Practices will be this week Thursday, next week Thursday and Friday, and then there will be a short break as Coach Pula will be on vacation. Once she returns practices will resume on Thursdays and Fridays.
- We are in the middle of our Keiki Rainbow Wellness Challenge. All students need to fill out their scorecards and turn them in on Monday to receive their prize, a drawstring backpack!
- Next week Wednesday, April 12th, is our next Parent Workshop at 8:00 am in the cafeteria. I will announce the topic next week.
- Please give your support to our JPOs next Friday as they go to the island-wide competition. Good luck JPOs!
- On Saturday, April 15th a group of our students will be traveling to the Honolulu District Speech Festival to compete. Let's cheer them on! Good luck speakers!
Lastly, I want to give a HUGE Lion shout-out to Mrs. Debra Heyler. Our amazing, talented, and caring Vice Principal. This week is Vice Principal's appreciation week and we want to honor her hard work and dedication to our students, staff, and families. Students, if you would like to write her a thank you note, I know she would greatly appreciate it... especially if you have visited her in her office this year!
It is directly because of amazing people like Mrs. Heyler that our school thrives. Keep up the good work Lions. Remember, We are the Lions. We are the Future!
