Aloha Lions Ohana,
It has been a few weeks since I sent out a message and I have quite a bit to tell you tonight.
- Kindergarten registration is open. Please encourage any parent of a child who is or will be 5 on or before July 30th to register.
- Summer school registration forms have been sent home to all eligible students. Please return these forms as soon as possible to ensure your child's spot in summer school.
- Our 3rd through 5th-grade students are represented in our district online science fair. Please check out our submissions by going to the links in the flier found at bit.ly/KWESTEM22
- Our Hoike is being held on May 20th @ 8:30 am at our outdoor stage. Please note that only two attendees per family will be allowed to watch. We will also be streaming it on our YouTube page. I will send out the link later. Tickets will be sent home on Monday the 16th with the oldest or only child in the family.
- The 5th-grade promotion will be held on May 26th. All students who wish to participate must have a COVID vaccine or a covid test within 48 hours of the event. In addition, only two guests will be allowed in to watch in the cafeteria. Tickets will go out Monday, May 23rd. We will also stream it live on our YouTube page. The link will come out later. Lei's will be given on the basketball court after the ceremony. A letter with details will go out soon to students.
- Student mental health is critical to us. If you know of any student in crisis or who is having problems with mental health, please inform our counselor, Mrs. Fukuda or call the office so we can help. Together we can help our students' mental health.
I will have many more announcements and reminders over the next few weeks so please be on the lookout. We have gotten through this year together because, We are the Lions. We are the Future!
