Quarter 2 Update #10 (click on this link)

Aloha Lions Ohana,

Wow, we are getting close to winter break! There’s a lot of fun activities happening before we break, and so here is a bunch of announcements and reminders:

  • Thank you for supporting our McDonald’s fundraiser. We sold 926 booklets! The pick-up was today, and so if you did not pick-up your booklets, please come to the office to pick up your booklets tomorrow; preferably in the morning. Thank you.
  • Tomorrow is our second COVID vaccination clinic.  The vaccination is available for those who have already turned in their form.
  • Our December #UpcycledWreathChallenge contest has been extended to Monday, 12/13. We look forward to seeing the creations made by families. The video challenge is on our website at kwes.org and at https://bit.ly/kwewreath.
  • Friday is our Jingle Bell Drive-through and Picture Day with Santa if you signed up.  You were given a half sheet reminder and the ticket to redeem your package.
  • Friday is also our Panda Express fundraiser day. Your child was given a flyer, and so just like last time, bring the flyer in to support our school. Just like last time, bring the flyer in to support the school. 20% will go to Kalihi Waena. You can also order online using code 329035 at pandaexpress.com.
  • Our can food drive continues until December 15th. Please consider donating can food, rice, or other non-perishable items that will go to our Hawaii Food Bank. The cans will first be used to create a class creation and the winning classes will have a pizza party.
  • Finally, we are in need of spare clothes for the health room to fit kindergarten and first graders. If you have any old clothes to donate, we’d appreciate them.  We do need younger grades (K-2) especially.   Thank you.

This information may also be found on our website at kwes.org.

Thank you for your support through this challenging time. It is so wonderful seeing our students back on campus, learning, and having fun. These next few days will be extra fun! We love having fun because, We are the lions. We are the future!

Aloha,

Mr. Larkin
