darling cuddly Wina where the sun shines bright Drive High with pride in the Morning Light we are the pride of calling so true learning every day and all that we do under the Banyan Tree friendship strong and kind teachers by your side helping us to good morning from kwes news my name is halia we hope you had a restful weekend thank you for joining us on this awesome morning as we bring you your morning broadcast we are excited to be spending this time with you because we have a very busy week ahead of us that will be filled with a bunch of fun and a whole I learned now let's move on to the next segment Aloha lions Aloha Lions I'm Leila and I'm a Miele we hope you had an amazing weekend we have a very busy week ahead of us so let's move on to our announcements we would like to start the segment off with 1 of the last for the teachers this week is your duty for teachers and group a we would like to remind everyone that the award for good attendance in April is a dance party in May from Monday through Thursday grades 3 to 5 students will have the spring I ready diagnostic window grade 5 will have Ira classes today grade 4 will have Ira classes on Tuesday on Wednesday is national Administrative professional day please say thank you or Mahalo to our 1 of the office staff that help with our school runs smoothly each day there they are the best we are having our attendance board which is water blasters happening in a building outdoor stage grades K through 2 will participate from 12 to 12:30 and grades 3 to 5 will participate from 12 45 to 115 I hope you are ready for some fun grade 3 we'll have Ira classes on Thursday on Friday there will be I already make up testing and grade 2 will have Ira classes at this time they are we are very excited to announce our first second and third place winners of our art planner cover contest for next school year thank you all again of the participant who entered the contest we enjoyed seeing all the contest entries they were so creative and definitely showed your lion pride in third place we have Miss Rachel from our Arty I stuff congratulations and second place we have Cassie Joseph from grade 2 congratulations and in first place winner is Cheyenne Francisco from grade 5 a big congratulations to Cheyenne congrats Cheyenne are has been selected to be our to be on the cover of our school planner for the year 2026 to 2027 yay we are also proud for showcasing your lion pride and for always representing Kalihi wanna and the best way each day but it looks like we got a lot going on for this week so let's always remember Liberties Drive High with pride because that's the highway I know High lions darling good morning Lions my name is halia and I'll tell you here's the menu for this this week for breakfast this week Monday French toast Tuesday egg and cheese burrito Wednesday Callo yogurt Bowl Thursday cooking cheese sausage with rice on Friday bagel with cream cheese for Monday this always shoot for lunch this week Monday turkey sandwich Tuesday cheese bites Wednesday paniolo stew Thursday orange chicken with rice on Friday Terry burger and cabbage that sounds delicious now it's time to move on to our next segment Aloha lions hopefully the word is is hello hello according to the Hawaiian language dictionary hello hello means to read or recite yes even when you read your text messages on your phone the word hello hello is a verb this means to read study by reading for example for example uh I was reading I was going to sleep early but I stayed up late hello Halloween my favorite book hello hello means reminds us to pick a book read something new and maybe give our phones a little break just a little break Mahalo for taking this time to learn our hello hello always remember to shive high with because that's the only way until we meet again lines Aloha Lions Here Comes our vocabulary word of the week I'm Michael and I'm Leila this was this week's word is topic the word topic means something you are talking or learning about for example our topic today is why Pizza is the best food ever another cool thing about the word topic is that you can have a different topic every day so that you'll never run out of things to talk about we encourage everyone to use the word topic when you are sharing ideas in your class or talking with your friends every new word is like a superpower use it and watch your ideas sore Aloha lions Aloha Lions my name is Hala from elephants here at kwes news thank you for spending part of your morning with us remember to strive higher with pride because that's the line way job ready to learn give your best effort and always believe in yourself and don't forget school is a place to grow and have fun leave with kindness because Aloha always wins that's a wrap from kwes news have a fantastic day the line way we wish you an awesome week ahead Aloha lions thank you by the number Eddie darling
